My name is Dev Khalsa. My beloved wife, Eileen, and I operate a naturopathic clinic in Toronto, Canada. We live in a beautiful home in the country near Haliburton, Ontario.
I have a great love for the outdoors and for all the creatures and vegetation that we share this earth with. There are so many wonders to be discovered in this creation if we are willing to experience them!
In 1972 and 1973 while still in university I held summer jobs working as a biologist in a Canadian government study of environmental damage due to oil exploration in the western arctic. Through my training I believed that science could help heal the earth.

During that period I saw chief Dan George, a native elder, talk about how, to the white man, everything in the world; the stones, the trees, the animals, the land, water and air, is dead. He had more to say about how wherever the white man goes he leaves behind a trail of death.
His words had a huge impact on my life.
I realized that so much of my school and societal training had been focused on analyzing, calculating and compartmentalizing. Our western culture has glorified above all the pursuit of the rational mind and in the process we have lost something very precious - our ability to perceive as human beings.
There is a lot more I could say on this subject.
I came to the realization that if we are to heal this planet what is really required is a change in consciousness of humanity.
I gave up my faith in the power of the rational mind and also the biology career thing and began a journey of the spirit.
My explorations have led me to many places. There is one thing that I am grateful for. I am so glad to have honoured the path of my heart!

many blessings,

Dev
